2" Potted Plant The Hawaiian Anthurium plant grows abundantly on the Big Island and is exported worldwide. Its bright colors and glossy texture are very long lasting. It is the Islanders favorite flower for home decoration. I'm heart shaped and have a waxy quality which causes some people to think I'm artificial. There are hundreds of species of me, all perennials. I range in color: pure white, all shades of pink, orange, all shades of red and even green. I vary in sizes from miniature to huge flowers. I last as long as 4 weeks when cut. Growing instructions will come with plant. Growing instructions: Plant media should be moist at all times and mist your plant often. The Anthurium thrives best in shaded areas. Keep away from direct sunlight. Transplant to a larger container using Hawaiian Volcanic Cinder Lava Rocks, wood shavings, fir bark or peat moss. Once a month use any general type of fertilizer. |
